    2. Go on a hayride at Tampa Greyhound Track

On Saturday and Sunday mornings in October, you can take a hayride around the Tampa Greyhound Track. After the ride, stick around and watch the greyhounds race. Admission is free.

    6. Go apple picking at Mixon Fruit Farms

This family-owned farm offers U-pick apples from September through November. In addition to apples, they also have U-pick strawberries, blueberries, and peaches (in season). Admission is free; prices for fruit vary depending on what you pick.

    7. Experience Oktoberfest at Busch Gardens

Busch Gardens celebrates Oktoberfest with German food, beer, and live entertainment every weekend throughout October. New this year is an unlimited beer sampler wristband for guests 21+. Oktoberfest is included with regular theme park admission which starts at $89 per person; unlimited beer samplers are an additional $30 per person on top of that admission price.

    8. Enjoy royalty-free shopping at Renninger's Flea Market & Antique Center

On Saturday mornings from October through April, you can browse through hundreds of vendors selling everything from antiques to handcrafted items to fresh produce—all without paying a dime in market fees! Admission is free; prices for items vary by vendor.

    9. Watch a movie at Cinebistro Hyde Park Village
